Dear students,
Since I also ask you to start up your own English blog, I should set an example by at least posting something more recent than 2009, shouldn't I? Time flies when you're having fun....
Anyway, if, while blogging, you need an online dictionary which provides you with the meaning as well as the pronunciation of English words, go to: http://dictionary.cambridge.org. Enjoy blogging and I'll keep you posted!

My list of things that are special at Christmas
Sharing Christmas with my family;
Listening to music;
Enjoying a good meal with friends;
Having coffee/tea with chocolate (all through the day);
Watching feel-good movies;
Both my cats on my lap instead of in the Christmas tree;
Finally being able to read a book (I would like to start in Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol);
Remembering why we celebrate Christmas;
Going to church on Christmas Eve;
Dressing up for Christmas;
Phoning friends and relatives who live abroad;
Making holiday plans;
And more............

I found a useful site for you on which you can practise your verb tenses (amongst other things). This is the link: http://www.englishpage.com/. Go to "choose a tutorial", and select "verb tenses".
Perhaps the explanations are somewhat different from what you are used to in class, but the exercises are good practice when you are learning your verb tenses.
